May I join the chorus? This has been aggravating me for months! You'd think Microsoft would respond with this solution when they've gotten my error report umpteen times, wouldn't you?

A thousand times thanks.

This worked just like a charm... Although I do not understand what is the relation between excel and BT, and how such a link could make excel crash at exit while nothing exceptional is expected from it, except maybe to close "properly"...

I didn't alter the registry, I simply disabled the bluetooth add-in from the excel settings. This also did the trick.
