[solved] Eclipse - Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display ":0.0".

Java Swing programs won't run in Eclipse.

Error message:
Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display ":0.0".

Root cause:
Your graphics card driver does not support the RANDR extension.

Edit xorg.conf, find "xinerama" section and change "on" to "off".

This is not a fix, this is nothing. Xinerama is enabled because we need it (to run 4 monitors). Shut your computer down, and you won't have a problem. "Resolved" indeed. How about you resolve it with Xinerama on and make Eclipse stop crashing. It's the only app that crashes because of Xinerama.

I agreed it is not fixed since I still get this error meaages even with "xinerama" set to "off".

/usr/share/eclipse> xrandr -v
Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display "localhost:14.0".
